 Trade and Logistics Administrator Corporate Office 

 The Trade and Logistics Administrator is responsible for ensuring the necessary logistics documents associated with the sale of WCRL goods to key customers are accurate, timely and complete. The positions’ primary focus is to coordinate the paperwork associated with the transport of tallow and other finished meal products is organized, precise and in compliance with all governing agencies or customs regulations. Secondary responsibilities include support of other Trade and Logistics Coordinators in the Sales Department.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS 

Reports to: Director of Sales & Marketing – Corporate Office 

Directly supervises: N/A 

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITES 

• Create sales department invoices and billing payables 

• Arrange for the release of delivery slips 

• Accurate data entry into JD Edwards for daily local sales orders 

• Verify accuracy, preparation of logistics documents related to WCRL products being exported to external customers, including but not limited to: o Sales contracts 

o SGS Certificates 

o Certificates of Origin 

o CFIA Certificates 

o Veterinary Certificates 

o NAFTA Certificates 

o Import and Export Permits for Finished Goods 

o Export Declarations, etc. 

• Contact external agencies for the release of documents to WCRL; actively address concerns raised and problem solve for issues encountered 

• Communicate with Plant Administration, other internal Departments and external agencies effectively to coordinate the movement of WCRL products 

• Track, record, scan and file Sales Department documents into the appropriate database or document management system 

• Assist other Divisions and Departments with export documentation requirements 

• Actively research and become well-informed of new or revised custom laws, import regulations and industry-related issues 

• Cross-train and act as back-up for other Sales Department Trade & Logistics Coordinators during absences

QUALIFICATIONS & FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS 

Qualifications 

• Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience in trade logistics or customs clearance/customs brokerage processing environment preferred 

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in International Trade, Logistics or otherwise relevant program an asset 

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with well-developed time management skills 

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word and Outlook 

• Strong attention to detail a requirement 

• Demonstrated ability to maintain numerical accuracy within a high-volume environment 

• Interest in developing comprehensive knowledge of customs regulations for various countries and international export products
