Senior Commodity Trader

Job Summary

Targray is currently seeking a commodity trader or team of traders with experience in niche trading segments with fewer market participants. The specific niche can be within any commodity sector: Agriculture, Energy, Renewables, etc.

We are favoring commodities where the majority of trade is physical, with paper trading playing a secondary role. Our goal is to build a trading desk of significant size to service domestic and/or global markets. The desk will be supported by and will collaborate with our existing resources and teams in North America, Europe, and Asia.

Responsibilities

  • Establishing a commodity trading desk; Operations can be based out of any city.
  • Trading physical commodities anywhere worldwide.
  • Working closely with Targray senior management.
  • Collaborating closely with Targray’s Risk Management unit and global trading team.
  • Developing new trading opportunities and supply sources.
  • Cultivating and maintaining relationships with suppliers and end users while ensuring close cooperation with the operations and logistics team to ensure smooth and timely trades.
  • Monitoring market trends to capitalize on trading opportunities.
  • Proactively sourcing new business opportunities with producers.

Requirements

  • Proof of a successful and profitable track record on a physical trading desk.
  • Strong knowledge of 1 or more niche commodity markets with a particular focus on physical trading, logistics and arbitrage opportunities.
  • 5+ years’ experience in commodities trading and exposure to the relevant producers and end-users.
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Summary

As a part of our continued expansion, Targray requires the services of a Head Trader – Biofuel Feedstock to join our global Biofuels Feedstock Trading Team.

We are looking for an experienced Head Trader – Biofuel Feedstock with expertise in the sourcing and trade of used cooking oil (UCO) and tallow (animal fats including Poultry Fat, Beef Tallow, Choice White Grease, etc).  Experience in vegetable oils, like soybean oil, canola oil, or distiller’s corn oil is considered an asset.  The feedstock traded will be used to produce Biodiesel and Renewable Diesel Fuel (HVO). Relevant experience includes domestic North American origination and sales, as well as international trade (imports and exports). Option to work from our offices in Montreal, Geneva, Dubai, Gurgaon, or your Remote/Home Office. Working as part of our International Feedstock Trading Desk.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with Targray’s existing biodiesel trading team in North America and Europe, as well as Targray’s Global Vegoil desk.
  • Collaborating with Targray’s Risk and Senior Management teams.
  • Developing new trading opportunities and supply sources worldwide.
  • Identifying storage, blending, and processing opportunities to meet customer specifications.
  • Cultivating and maintaining relationships with suppliers and end users.
  • Collaborating closely with the operations and logistics team to ensure smooth and timely trades

Requirements

  • Proven track record of profitable trading in the biofuel feedstock sector, and managing a P&L.
  • 3+ years’ experience in feedstock trading. (UCO / animal tallow / vegetable oil)
  • The Head Trader should have experience managing people, specifically managing a trading team.
  • Strong existing network of relevant contacts including producers and end-users.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with team members worldwide, of different cultures, on a remote basis.

Job Title Procurement Specialist

Reporting to the Manager of Procurement, you will build category strategy for assigned supplies, materials or services following approved buying programs using the established procurement policy ensuring the needs of internal customers are met.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage categories to help reduce potential supply and quality issues
